Montgomery County Elevated to Level 4
Wednesday, November 25, 2020 – The State of Ohio Department of Health updated the Ohio Public Health Advisory System. This update impacts Scouting in the Miami Valley Council; Montgomery County has been elevated to level 4 (Purple).
While the state is not imposing further restrictions on a level 4 county, the Miami Valley Council will continue to observe our ‘Restart Scouting Safely’ plan accordingly. CLICK HERE for the updated plan.
For Scouts located in Montgomery County, please observe the guidance under level 4 (purple) which includes a shift from in-person to virtual programs and activities:
- Unit activities, meetings, camping, and overnight activities are conducted virtually under a level 4 risk of spread rating
Miami Valley Council – Montgomery County Locations
- Cricket Holler and Schiewetz Leadership Center are both closed until level 4 is lifted (reservation fees will be refunded)
- Scout Shop will remain open with mandatory face coverings for staff and customers
- Scout Service will have limited staffing available for charter processing and other essential transactions, but will offer full support virtually. Please contact your district staff member to set an appointment if you need more support. Please CLICK HERE for MVC staff contact information.
