Order of the Arrow

Join a Legacy of Service

The Order of the Arrow is Scouting’s national honor society. For more than 100 years, the Order of the Arrow (OA) has recognized Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.

This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well. Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit, promoting year-round and long term resident camping, and providing cheerful service to others. OA service, activities, adventures, and training for youth and adults are models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich and help to extend Scouting to America’s youth.

Miami Lodge

Since 1952, Miami Lodge has been an active part of the Miami Valley Council. Our great Lodge is led by a group of youth and adults who believe in the vision and spirit of Scouting and the OA. Each year we hold Ordeals to induct our new members and to return to our camps that which we as campers were given. We also hold numerous Fellowships which are chances for our members to gather and enjoy the Scouting spirit. Our Lodge meets at Cricket Holler Scout Camp on the second Sunday of every month at 3:00 pm. At our Fall 2017 Ordeal, we celebrated our 65th year of service to the Miami Valley Council. In May of 2015, Miami Lodge hosted the annual Section C-6B Conclave which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow.
