Jasper Godeke will join our council on April 16 as Ranger for Cricket Holler Scout Camp and Schiewetz leadership Training Center. This is a new FULL-TIME position for the Miami Valley Council as these properties have been previously staffed by a part-time caretaker position.
Jasper comes to us from Antwerp, OH where he was in Scouting as a youth for the age of 5. He is a graduate of Lake Superior State University with a B.S. in Parks and Recreation, an A.S. in Natural Resources Technology, and also holds an A.S. from Hocking College in Wildlife Management. Jasper spent 3 seasons working with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources at South Bass Island to ensure visitors and campers have the best experience possible. He also worked at Mackinac State Historic Park in Michigan and Sauder Historic Village in Archbold, Ohio.

Jay Shankel has left the employment of the Miami Valley Council and will no longer serve as the Senior District Executive in the Wright Brothers District. We wish Jay well with all his future endeavors.
Patrick Higgins, Assistant Scout Executive, will handle all service to Scouts and volunteers in the Wright Brothers District until a suitable replacement can be identified.
